Tulsi General Stores

At Tulsi General Stores, we have a lot of different things packed onto the shelves. We are located at Jacob Circle in Surat, specifically at 6/188/89. It is a bit of a maze inside because we try to fit as much as possible for the people living nearby. You can find everything from soap to snacks if you look long enough. The floor is a bit uneven in the back, but we have lived with it for years. Most mornings start with checking what we ran out of the day before and writing it down on a scrap of paper. No high-tech systems are used here, just a simple counter and a notebook for keeping track of the inventory. Jacob Circle stays busy, so there is a constant noise from the street coming in through the open door. Some old wooden crates are used for extra storage under the main tables in the front. It is a bit dusty on the top shelves where we don't reach as often, but the main area stays tidy. The regulars usually stop by to pick up their daily needs and maybe talk for a minute or two about the weather or the price of things. A small bulb stays on all night over the entrance. This is just a basic general store where most customers are known by their first names. We have been here a long time and the building shows its age.
