Subham Children Hospital

Our children's hospital is in Silver Plaza, right across from the Rupali Cinema on Rander Road. It’s a very recognizable spot because of the cinema. Being on Rander Road means we have a lot of traffic passing by all day. Inside, the walls are painted in colors that were meant to be bright, though they’ve faded a little over the years. We have a few toys scattered around the waiting area to keep the little ones busy while they wait for their turn. It’s never really quiet here. There is usually the sound of a baby crying or a toddler running down the hallway. We don't have a corporate office or a PR team. It’s just the doctors and the nursing staff trying to keep things organized. We spend a lot of time talking to worried parents and trying to explain things in a way that makes sense. Sometimes the elevator in Silver Plaza is out of order, which is a real pain when you’re carrying a stroller, but we make do. The staff usually brings their own lunch and eats in the small breakroom in the back. We don't put on any airs about being the biggest or anything like that. We just show up every day and do the best we can for the kids who come through the door. It’s a busy, noisy, and rewarding place to be for everyone involved.
