We are tucked away in the Reyon Mill Compound on Nari Road. Our space is Shade No. RMB 3, which is an old industrial building with high ceilings and plenty of character, though it gets quite hot in the summer. Kumbharwada is an interesting part of town, very industrial and always busy. We focus on steam systems and all the piping and valves that go along with that. It’s a specialized kind of work. Most of the day, you’ll find us surrounded by gaskets, pressure gauges, and lengths of steel pipe. It’s heavy stuff to move around. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease spots here and there. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we do, they just come into the shade and look at the workbenches. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting old boilers or trying to figure out why a steam line is losing pressure. It’s a lot of trial and error and using our hands. We drink a lot of tea while we look at technical drawings that are half-smudged with thumbprints. The neighbors in the compound are all doing similar industrial work, so there’s always a hum of activity nearby. It’s a plain, hardworking environment where we just get on with the job at hand. It keeps us occupied and the pipes running like they should.
