Our company, Skega Engineering Co. Pvt. Ltd., is based at Plot No. 5402 in the GIDC area of Sachin. Specifically, we are on Road No. 5. This area is a real industrial zone, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks passing by. Our building is a standard industrial unit that we’ve made our own over the years. Inside, it’s mostly engineering equipment and workbenches. We have a small office section, but it’s usually empty because everyone is out on the floor. The floors are concrete and have their fair share of cracks and stains. Sachin is a busy place to work, and being in GIDC means we are surrounded by other folks doing similar hard work. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just talk to our customers plainly and tell them what we can do. Some days are long, and the heat in the workshop can be a bit much, but we have some fans going to keep us sane. We focus on the engineering tasks at hand, whether it’s a small part or a larger project. We like the independence of having our own spot on Road No. 5. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't dress up for work; we just put on our boots and get to it. That's the way it's always been for us here.
