Shree Swastik Art

You can find Shree Swastik Art in Surat, right across from Gopal Tower 3. It’s a good landmark because everyone in this part of town knows where the tower is. Our shop is usually full of materials and finished pieces waiting to be picked up. There’s a bit of dust everywhere because of the kind of work we do, but we don't mind it much. It’s just how things are when you’re busy. We have a few wooden benches where we sit and work on our projects. The lighting isn't always the best, so we use some extra lamps to see what we are doing. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves and it’s been a long journey since then. Some days are definitely better than others. In the afternoon, the sun hits the front window and makes the room really hot for a few hours. We usually open the door to get a bit of a breeze. People walking by often peek in to see what we're making and sometimes they stop to talk. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website to show off. We just rely on the quality of what we put out and what people say about us. Sometimes we stay late into the night to finish something up. There’s a small tea shop around the corner where we get our snacks. The owner knows exactly how we like our tea. It feels like a small family. We are happy to be right here near the tower today.
