Shree Ganesh Sweets

Our shop, Shree Ganesh Sweets, sits right on the Ring Road near the Lal Gate Main Road. It is a very busy intersection, so there is constant noise from the traffic and people walking by. We have been at this location for a good while, and we have seen the road get wider and the traffic get heavier over the years. Inside the shop, we have various glass cases where we keep everything we have made for the day. We spend most of our time in the back where the big pots and trays are. Making sweets involves a lot of stirring and waiting for things to cool down, so there is a rhythm to our day that does not really change much. Some mornings we are here before the sun is even up to get the milk boiling. It is a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually covered in flour or sugar by the time we take a break. We do not really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here because they pass by Lal Gate all the time. The shop isn’t very big, so it can get a bit crowded when a few people come in at once. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure the shelves aren't empty. It is a steady life, and we like being part of the daily commute for the people in this neighborhood.
