Rekha Gruh Udhyog

Rekha Gruh Udhyog is located in Pital Khatia, over in Fort Songadh in the Tapi district. We are quite close to the bus stand, which makes it easy for people to find us when they arrive in town. This is a small operation, mostly focused on things we can make ourselves without needing big factories. The space we work in is simple and a bit cluttered with raw materials and finished products waiting to be packed. We started this because we wanted to do something local and keep busy. My family helps out quite a bit, especially when we have a big order to finish by the end of the week. The sound of the buses coming and going is the background music to our day. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that, so we just rely on people walking by and seeing what we have. Sometimes the rain gets quite heavy here and we have to move everything away from the door so it doesn't get damp. It’s not a perfect setup, but it works for us and the neighbors seem to like what we produce. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor sorting through things or sealing up bags. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we don’t like to rush it. We just try to keep a steady pace and make sure everything is handled properly before it goes out.
