Our shop is over at Plot No 23 & 24 in R K Nagar, which is right near Gadkhol Patiya. Promod Patel Fabrication And Engineer Work started out because there was a lot of building going on in this part of town and people needed metal work done right. We have two plots here, so there is enough room to spread out the long pipes and the heavy angle iron we use for most of the jobs. It is not the quietest neighborhood, with all the workshops around, but we like the energy of it. Some days we are busy with gates and window grills, and other days it is more complicated engineering stuff that takes a lot of measuring and re-measuring. We aren't big on talk; we just like to get the measurements right the first time. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the morning, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early before it gets too sweaty inside. We’ve seen the area change a lot since we moved in. There are more shops now and the roads are busier. We keep our tools sharp and the welding machines ready for whatever someone brings through the gate. It’s just honest work with steel and hammers. If you walk past, you’ll likely hear the grinder running or see us loading a truck with finished pieces for a site.
