Pooja General Store

Pooja General Store is situated in the Samarpan Building on GHB Road in the Sachin area of Surat. We are right opposite the LD School, which makes us a very handy stop for parents and kids. You can imagine how it is in the mornings; someone always forgets a notebook or needs a new pen right before the school bell rings. We keep a good variety of stationery along with the usual household items that people need. Surat is a very busy place with all the factories and work going on, but our shop is just a small, practical corner for the people living nearby. We do not have any big marketing budgets or bright neon signs. It is usually just me behind the counter, making sure the floor is swept and the new stock is put away properly. People come in for their daily groceries or just to get some detergent for the week. Since the building is well-known in this part of Sachin, people find us easily. We have been here long enough to know the names of the regulars and the rhythms of the street. When the school day ends, the shop fills up with kids looking for snacks, and we enjoy that bit of noise. It is just a normal neighborhood store where we try to keep the basics available for everyone on GHB Road.
