Neo Nir Engineering

Neo Nir Engineering is over at S-16 in the Bombay Market area of Umerwada. It is a busy place and the noise from the street never really stops. We have been working out of this small unit for a long time now. The floor is concrete and it’s usually covered in metal shavings or oil spots from the machines we use. We have a few lathes and a drill press that have seen better days but they still run just fine. My cousin helps me out most days and we just take orders as they come in. People bring us broken parts or sketches on scraps of paper and we try to make sense of them. It is not a fancy engineering firm with computers and clean desks. It is just a workshop. We have a small bench near the back where we sit and eat our lunch. The heat gets pretty bad in the summer because the ventilation isn't the greatest, so we keep a big pedestal fan running all day long. Sometimes the neighbor from the shop next door comes over to borrow a wrench or just to talk about the weather. We don't have a big sign or any fancy lights outside. Most people find us because they know we are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough to pay the bills. We don't ask for much more than that.
