Midtown Hotel

Our hotel is right in Salabatpura, just across from the railway station. It’s a very busy spot in Surat. We are right next to the Jain Dharmshala, so it's easy to find us if you're coming off a train. The building is older, and we've had to fix things here and there over the years. It’s not a five-star place, just a regular hotel for travelers. We have rooms on a few floors. The lobby is small and usually has someone's luggage sitting in the corner. We get people from all over who are just passing through for work or to visit family. The noise from the station can be heard sometimes, but that’s part of being so close to it. My family has been running this for a while. We do the cleaning and the front desk ourselves mostly. Sometimes the plumbing acts up, but we get it fixed. It’s a simple place to stay. We don't have a big fancy restaurant, just some basic stuff. People come here because it's convenient. You walk out the front door and the station is right there. We have regulars who stay every time they come to Surat for business. We know their names and which room they like. It’s just a normal business in a crowded part of the city. We keep the sheets clean and the doors locked at night. That’s what matters to the people staying here. We don't have fancy brochures, just us trying to make it work. It's home to us.
