Ashoka International Hotel

Ashoka International Hotel is situated right in the middle of the action on TSP Road in Kalasipalam. We are in the Tirupati Plaza building, which is directly opposite the SMC Medical College. Because of where we are, we get a lot of people who are visiting the hospital or students and their parents. It is a very busy area of Surat and the noise from the street is something you just get used to. The hotel itself is not fancy at all. We have standard rooms with the basic things you need for a night or two. The elevator is a bit old and sometimes it takes a while to arrive if the hotel is full. We try to keep the rooms tidy, but it is an older building so it has its quirks. The staff knows the neighborhood very well, so if you need to find a specific shop or a place to eat, they can help you out. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or a gym. Most people just come here because it is convenient for the medical college. The traffic outside can be a bit much during the day, but it settles down a little late at night. We keep the reception open all the time so people can check in whenever their bus or train arrives. It is just a practical spot for someone who needs to be in this part of town for work or family reasons.
