Hotel Tawa

People mostly find us over at the New Hare Krishna Apartments, right across from Umabhavan on Bhatar Road. We’ve been here at B-304 for a while now. It’s a busy part of Surat, but that’s just how it is around here. The building is easy to spot if you know where the main road turns. We spend most of our days just handling things as they come. Sometimes it’s quiet, other times there’s a lot going on all at once. My desk is usually covered in papers and some old tea cups because there’s always something to do. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit since we first started out, but the address stays the same. We have a few neighbors in the apartment complex who’ve been around as long as we have. Usually, someone is coming in or going out, so the front door gets a lot of use. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical place to get the work done. You see the same faces every day, which is nice in a big city like Surat. We don’t really do much besides focus on what’s right in front of us. If you’re walking down Bhatar Road, you’ll see the sign for Hotel Tawa eventually. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to keep everything running. Nothing too special to say, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home now.
