Hotel Akash

Hotel Akash is located on Sumul Dairy Road, right in the Alakpuri Society area of Surat. It is a pretty straightforward place to find. We have been here for a while, and the neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the years as more shops opened up. We have a modest building with several rooms for guests who are visiting the city for various reasons. It is not one of those high-rise hotels you see in the newer parts of town. We keep things simple here. My family and a few staff members handle the daily chores, like checking people in and making sure the rooms are tidy. The road outside can get pretty busy since it is near the dairy, so there are always trucks and bikes passing by at dawn. We have a small entrance and a tiny area where people can sit if they are waiting for a ride or a friend. Most of our guests are here for work or visiting relatives who live nearby. We don't have a big restaurant or anything, just the rooms and basic facilities like a television and water. Sometimes we have to fix a leaky tap or change a lightbulb in the hallway, it’s just part of the job. We try to keep the place clean, though the dust from the road is a constant battle for us. We don't use any big marketing tricks to get people in.
