Mahek General Store

Mahek General Store sits near the Telephone Exchange in the Mahuva Mhada area of Versova, right by 4 Bunglow. It’s a busy spot with people always moving around and traffic passing by. We sell the usual things you’d expect at a general store. Milk in the morning, bread, snacks, and household stuff like detergent, soaps, or light bulbs. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of the walls to hang things up on hooks. Being near the telephone exchange means there’s always someone passing by the door. We see a lot of office workers and people who live in the Mhada buildings nearby. Mahek General Store is just a local place. We don’t have a big corporate team, it’s just us doing the daily work. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stack heavy boxes on the sidewalk for a bit. It’s just part of the job. We know the kids who come in for candy after school and the parents who need last-minute groceries for their dinner. Versova is a lively neighborhood, and being at 4 Bunglow puts us right in the middle of all that activity. We just keep our heads down and keep the shelves full. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just try to have what people ask for every day. It’s been our routine for years now. We start early and lock up late, watching the traffic change throughout the day.
