Mahadev General Store

Mahadev General Store is located in Surat, specifically in the Katargram area at 7/1440-41. It’s a very traditional kind of store, the sort of place where you can find a bit of everything if you look hard enough. We keep the shelves stocked with everyday items like soap, rice, snacks, and basic household supplies. The building we are in is quite old, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is a bit uneven, but it’s been our home for a long time. We open up early in the morning before the sun is even fully up because that’s when the neighborhood starts moving. Katargram is a busy, crowded part of the city, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We don’t have any fancy displays or automated systems. Everything is done by hand, from writing out the bills to stocking the shelves. It’s a lot of work, and it can be quite tiring standing on our feet all day, but we are used to it by now. We know most of the people who come in by name, and we usually have a quick chat about the weather or the local news while we weigh out their items. It’s not a supermarket; it’s just a small, local store that serves the people living on our street. We don’t try to be anything else. It’s just us doing our daily routine and keeping the basics available for everyone.
