Maha Laxmi Pan Corner

Maha Laxmi Pan Corner has been sitting here in Godadara for a good while. We’re tucked into 5th Main, specifically in the 4th Phase, number 4. It’s a decent enough spot, though it gets quite dusty when the wind picks up across the open spaces nearby. I spend most of my time leaning against the counter, waiting for the next person to walk up. The neighborhood in Godadara is mostly residential, so I see a lot of the same faces every single day. You get to know who likes what without them even having to say a word. I keep the glass jars lined up on the shelves, making sure everything is where it should be. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so I usually pull the shade down halfway to keep things a bit cooler inside. It’s not a huge place, just a small corner shop where people stop by on their way home from work. Sometimes they’ll stand around and talk about the cricket scores or the weather for a bit before moving on. I don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the name above the door that’s been there since the start. The 4th Phase is a bit quieter than the main roads, which I don’t mind at all. It makes the days go by at a steady pace, and I’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. It’s just how things go around here for us.
