Kuldevi Super Stores

Working out of Gajanand Complex on Sachin Station Road means we see a lot of people in a hurry. The train station is right there, so you get that constant flow of commuters from morning to night. Surat is a busy city and Sachin is no different. At Kuldevi Super Stores, we try to have a little bit of everything so people can grab what they need on their way home. We have cold drinks in the fridge which are very popular when the sun is beating down on the complex. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic, but I think it shows the place is used well. I spend a lot of time unpacking crates of snacks and stacking them up near the front. It gets loud with the trains and the auto-rickshaws outside, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. My family helps me run the place and we take turns sitting behind the counter. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town, just a reliable one where you can get your cigarettes, matches, or a packet of biscuits without any fuss. Sometimes the plastic jars on the counter get a bit sticky from the candy inside, so I have to clean those often. It’s just a regular shop in a busy part of town.
