Krishna General Store

Krishna General Store is located in Kailash Nagar, right over on Palanpur Jakat Naka Road in Surat. Our address is 96, Nutan Row House, and we are quite close to the Palanpur - Pal Road intersection. It is a busy part of the city with a lot of new buildings going up all the time. The shop is basically a part of the residential area, so we see the same faces every single day. We sell the usual things people need for their houses, like shampoo, snacks, and basic grocery items. It’s not a supermarket where you take a trolley; you just ask for what you want and we get it for you from the shelves. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we have to use a small wooden ladder sometimes to reach the top. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a good ceiling fan that keeps things moving. The road outside is always full of scooters and bikes. We know most of the kids from the row houses who come in for a piece of candy or a cold drink after school. It’s a quiet kind of work, just counting change and stacking boxes when they arrive. We don’t have fancy lights or big glass windows. It is just a normal store for normal people living in this part of Surat. We try to keep everything in stock so nobody has to go all the way to the main market.
