Gopalvilla

Our shop is at Shop No. 2 on the first floor of Purshotampark Society. If you are in Katargam, you will find us right behind the Kanteshwer Mahadev Temple, not far from Lalita Chauk. It’s a nice spot because you can hear the temple bells sometimes during the day. Since we are on the first floor, people have to walk up the stairs to find us, which makes it a bit quieter than the shops right on the street level. The space isn’t very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We have shelves lined with various items and a small counter where we handle the payments. The light comes in through the front window and makes the place feel bright, even on cloudy days. We spend a lot of time tidying up the displays and making sure everything is in the right place for when customers come by. Many people stop in after they have finished their prayers at the temple nearby. We usually have a bit of a chat with them about the weather or how the neighborhood is changing. It’s a friendly kind of place where we don’t rush people. We just sit here, keep the shop clean, and wait for the next person to walk up the stairs. It is a slow and steady way to spend the day at Gopalvilla.
