Kailash Sweet

Kailash Sweet is located over in Varachhali, specifically at Highnand Park Society 22 near Gulbai Tekra. It’s a nice enough area to have a shop. We spend most of our time in the back making different kinds of sweets. The smell of sugar and ghee is always around. It’s a lot of hard work standing over the big pots all day but we are used to it by now. The shop front isn’t very large, but we keep the display cases as full as we can. Sometimes we get a rush of people in the evenings after they finish work. We just try to keep up and make sure everyone gets what they came for. Being at Highnand Park Society 22 means we see the same faces quite often. We aren’t trying to be some famous brand. We are just Kailash Sweet. We don’t use any fancy machines, mostly just our hands and the old ways of doing things. It gets a bit chaotic during festival times, but that is when it’s most fun too. We just take it as it comes. Some days the batches don’t turn out perfectly and we have to start over. That’s just how it goes when you’re making things from scratch. We like being part of the neighborhood here near Gulbai Tekra. It’s a busy place but we enjoy the work we do.
