Jay Ambey General Store

Jay Ambey General Store is located near Parle Point in the Bhandup area, right along Lal Bhadur Shast. It’s a standard general store where we keep all the things people need daily. We have snacks, stationary, some toiletries, and basic food items. The location on Lal Bhadur Shast means it’s always loud with buses and cars going past the front door. We’ve been here at Parle Point for quite some years. The shop is small and we’ve squeezed in as many shelves as possible to hold the stock. Sometimes it feels like we’re surrounded by boxes of biscuits and bottles of soda. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us working the counter and helping out. People from around Bhandup stop by on their way home from the station or the office. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. Jay Ambey General Store isn't about being fancy or corporate. We just open up the shop, sweep the floor, and start the day. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck to fight through the traffic. It gets a little chaotic when school lets out and kids come in for cold drinks or chips. We just do our best to keep everything organized, even if it doesn't always look perfect on the shelves. Parle Point is a good spot to be, and we’re happy just being a part of the local community here.
