Jai Ambe Engineering

If you head down Surila Estate Road and go behind Gokul Nagar, you’ll find us at B-73 in the Shri Bhagwati Nagar Society. It’s a bit of a mix of residential and small industrial spots around here. Jai Ambe Engineering is run out of this space. It isn't a massive factory, just a decent-sized unit where we can fit our lathes and drills. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the big industrial estates, which we like. We started out with just one machine and slowly added a few more over the years as we needed them. It’s a bit cluttered inside because we hate throwing away any metal scraps that might be useful later. You never know when a small piece of steel will come in handy for a custom job. The guys who work here are locals, mostly. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just wear what's comfortable and safe for the workshop. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait for it to come back on, but we usually find something to clean or oil while we wait. We just take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job of it. It’s a basic operation but it serves us well. We’ve been at this address for a long time and we plan to stay here for a lot longer.
