Hotel Tirupati Guest House

You will find us on V S Lane in Surat. It is a narrow street, like many in this part of the city. We are a guest house, which means we are a bit smaller and more casual than the big hotels you see downtown. The building is an older one. We have a few rooms spread out over a couple of floors. Surat is a city that never really stops moving, especially with the textile trade and all the markets. V S Lane can be quite cramped with bikes and delivery carts. We spend our days making sure the guest house stays in order. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who take turns watching the door and cleaning. The rooms are plain but they have what you need to sleep. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one that you have to look for. Sometimes the neighbors are loud, or you can hear people talking in the lane, but that is part of living in this area. We have some regulars who stay with us every time they come to Surat for business. We know them by name. It is not a place with big fancy lobbies. We just have a small desk where we keep the register. We keep things simple because that is what works for us and the people who stay here. Sometimes the pipes are loud when someone is using the water, but we've gotten used to it.
