Hotel Swagat

Our place is right in the Vaishali Industrial Estate in Abrama. Because we are in an industrial area most of our customers are people working in the factories nearby or drivers passing through. It is not a luxury hotel by any means. We have simple rooms and we serve basic meals throughout the day. The building is a bit old and the paint is peeling in some corners but we keep the beds clean. My family lives in the back part of the property. We get up early to start the tea and breakfast for the workers. It can get very noisy around here with the trucks and machines but that is just life in an estate. We don't have a fancy menu. It’s usually whatever we cooked for the day, like dal and rice or some local vegetables. People come here because it is convenient and the prices are fair. We don't do online bookings much. Most people just show up at the door and ask if a room is free. We’ve been at this Abrama location for several years. The plumbing can be a bit temperamental sometimes but we fix it when it breaks. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the people who stay here have a place to rest their heads and a warm meal in their bellies before they go back to work.
