Hotel Jeevan Dhara

Varachha Road in Surat is one of the busiest places you will ever see. It is the heart of the diamond district and there is always something going on. Our hotel sits right across from Rajhans Point, which is a big local landmark. We have been here through the ups and downs of the city. Running Hotel Jeevan Dhara is a full-time job that never really stops because the street outside is always loud. We have people coming in at all hours, many of them connected to the diamond trade or the textile markets nearby. The rooms are not very large, but we make sure they are looked after. We are a small team and we do most of the work ourselves, from checking people in to making sure the water is running. It is a very practical place for people who just need a place to sleep after a long day of work in the markets. We don't have any of those fancy services you see on television. We just provide a roof and a bed in a very convenient spot. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the lobby when everyone is checking out at the same time, but we manage. Life on Varachha Road is fast and we just try to keep up with it while making sure our guests have what they need for a basic stay.
