We are based out of Ghod Dod Road here in Surat. It is a pretty well-known street, so finding us isn't usually a problem for anyone who lives nearby. The office isn't very large, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We mostly deal with hotel stuff and making sure rooms are ready or booked for whoever needs them. It is a lot of back-and-forth on the computer all day long. Sometimes the internet is slow, and that makes things a bit difficult, but we manage. We have a couple of desks pushed together and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. People call us up to ask about where they can stay, and we tell them what is available on the list. We do not have fancy uniforms or a big lobby. It is just a workspace on a busy road. You can hear the cars and scooters going by all the time. Sometimes we go out for tea at the stall around the corner when things get quiet. We have been working from this spot for a while now. It feels like home in a way, even with the noise. We just do the work as it comes in. There aren't any big speeches or complicated plans. If someone needs a room, we look for one. If the phone rings, we answer it. It is a simple way to spend the workday on Ghod Dod Road and we like it that way.
