Ghansyam Namkeen Pvt Ltd is located out in Vavli Village. It’s part of the Jambusar Taluka in the Bharuch District. If you drive out this way, you’ll see the fields all around us before you hit our facility. We make all sorts of snacks and namkeen right here in the village. It’s a good spot because we have plenty of space, though getting supplies delivered can take a bit longer than in the city. We have a crew of workers from the surrounding area who come in every morning. The kitchen area is always hot and smells like spices and oil. We started small, just making batches for the local market, but now we send our snacks a bit further out. We still use some of the old ways of doing things because that is what people like. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and staying alert near the big fryers. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves on the fly. We don’t have a polished corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a functional workspace where the focus is on the food. Bharuch is a good place for a business like ours because of the local ingredients we can find. We keep things pretty straightforward here. We make the namkeen, pack it up, and get it on the trucks. It’s a long day, but seeing the bags ready to go makes it worth it for all of us.
