You can find Dhanhar Masala Bhandar Pvt. Ltd. at Shop No.1, right by the Kaskiwad Char Rasta. We’re right near the S.M.C. School, so it gets pretty loud when the kids are coming and going. That’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We’ve been running this shop for quite some time. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or glass walls. It’s a regular shop where we sell spices. We have rows of bags and containers everywhere. Most of our customers are regulars who live nearby or parents dropping their kids off at the school. We know a lot of them by name. Running a masala business is hard work because there's always something to grind or pack. The air is always thick with the scent of chili and turmeric. Sometimes we sneeze all day, but you get used to it after a few years. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. Everything happens right here in the shop or the small space behind it. We focus on what we have in front of us. Some days are slow, and other days we can't keep up with the people coming in. We don't use any slick sales talk. We just tell people what we have and let them decide. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, and it’s worked for us so far. We are just local people serving our local community.
