We are based in Surat, up on the 8th floor of the Luxuria Business Hub in Rundh. Asanjo Club And Resorts Limited is the name on the door. It’s a busy building with lots of other offices around us. Being on the 8th floor gives us a bit of a view, though we spend most of our time looking at paperwork and computer screens. It’s not all glamorous resort life; there’s a lot of back-office work that goes into running things. We handle the bookings, the planning, and the boring stuff like taxes and permits from here. Surat is a fast-moving city, and sometimes it feels like we are just trying to keep up. We are a small team, mostly just a handful of us who’ve known each other for a long time. We don't have a polished corporate culture. We eat lunch at our desks and argue about where to get the best tea. It’s a real office with real people. Sometimes the elevator in the hub takes forever, which is a bit of a pain when you are in a rush. We just try to get our work done so we can go home to our families. We aren't interested in being the most famous club in India. We just want to do a good job with what we have. That’s about it for us. The office can get a bit cluttered with all the files, but we know where everything is. We stay busy.
