Art Drapes

Art Drapes is tucked away in the New Cloth Market over here in GIDC Sachin. It's a pretty busy spot, honestly. Most days it’s just us surrounded by huge rolls of fabric and the sound of people moving boxes outside in the lane. We started this because we knew a bit about textiles and it seemed like a good place to set up shop. The address is 191/1, if you’re looking for it, but the market is a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights and air conditioning that works all the time. It’s more of a practical place where we keep the stock. You’ll see curtains and drapes piled up, and maybe some dust because that’s just how it is in this part of town. My nephew helps me out with the heavy lifting and we spend most of our time just measuring things out and making sure the orders are right. Sometimes we get the measurements wrong and have to start over, which is a pain, but we get it done eventually. People around here know us for being around for a while. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Usually, we close up late once the trucks stop coming through. It's just a regular local business trying to keep things moving in the textile market and making sure the fabric is handled right every single day.
