Acrylic House

We are located at Gopipura Bhavani Shankar Road 8/815, 818. The shop is called Acrylic House and we’ve been here for quite a while now. It’s a working shop, so it’s never really clean or quiet. There is always the sound of the saw cutting through plastic sheets. We have stacks of acrylic in all different colors piled up against the walls. It makes the space feel even smaller than it is. Most of our work is making signs or little display boxes for other businesses. People bring us their measurements on a piece of paper and we do our best to cut it right. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, that’s just part of it. The smell of the chemicals we use to bond the pieces together is very strong, so we keep the front door open even when it’s dusty outside. My hands are usually covered in little scratches from the sharp edges of the plastic. We don't have a computer for designing, we just use a ruler and a pencil mostly. It’s an old way of doing things but it works for what we need. Customers know they can just walk in and talk to us. We don't have a secretary or anyone like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find me covered in white plastic dust, trying to finish an order or looking for a specific color of sheet for someone.
