You can find us at Firdous Complex, which is near the J and K Bank branch in Brane, Nishat. This side of Srinagar is really nice, especially being so close to the gardens. We started Woods Adventure because we spent a lot of time trekking and being outdoors ourselves. It’s not just a job for us. We handle all sorts of travel plans, but we really like the ones that involve going up into the mountains. Our office is just a regular room in the complex where we keep our gear and some files. It’s often a bit messy with maps and trekking equipment lying around. We don't have a big team of sales people. It is usually just one or two of us here to answer questions. We talk to people about the best trails or where the snow is still thick enough for photos. Sometimes the gear breaks and we have to spend the afternoon sewing a bag or fixing a tent. It's practical work. We don't use those shiny brochures you see in big cities. We just tell you what the trail is like based on when we were last up there. Nishat is a good place to be based because it’s a bit quieter than the center of town. We just take things as they come and try to keep the business running smoothly throughout the year. It's a good way to live.
