Jammu And Kashmir Bank Ltd

I work in the ALM Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd, which is located in the Corporate Office on M A Road in Srinagar. We are right near the TRC, so it is a very easy place to find in the city. This isn't like the regular bank branches where people come to deposit money or open accounts. Our department is tucked away on one of the upper floors, and we mostly deal with the internal financial data and balance sheets. The office is quite large and full of cubicles with big computer screens. It is a very quiet place compared to the busy streets of Srinagar outside. We have to be very careful with the numbers, so most of us are just staring at spreadsheets for the majority of the day. The building is quite old but very sturdy, and it has a lot of history. We have a canteen where we get our lunch, and that is usually the only time we really get to socialise. We don't have any flashy decor or lounge areas. It is just a straightforward place of work with standard office desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We take our responsibilities seriously because the bank relies on our data to make big decisions. It can be a bit repetitive sometimes, but it is a stable job and we are proud to be working here on M A Road.
