You can find us over at Khojabagh in Baramulla, right where Silent Service Communication operates. It’s a busy little spot, especially on days when everyone seems to need help with their phones at the same time. The office isn't very large, so it gets crowded pretty quickly when more than three people walk in. We spend a lot of time looking at account details and trying to figure out why someone’s signal isn't working right. The road outside can get quite muddy when it rains, so we are always cleaning the floor from all the footprints. It’s just the reality of working in this part of J&K. We have a few posters on the walls, mostly just for decoration at this point because they’ve been there so long. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors or people from the nearby villages, so there is usually a bit of small talk before we get down to business. It makes the day go by faster when you know the people you are helping. We keep a ledger for some things and use the computer for the rest. It’s not a high-tech hub or anything, just a local branch trying to keep people connected. Sometimes we run out of change in the drawer, which is a bit of a hassle. We just do our best to get through the stack of tasks before the sun goes down and we can head home for the evening.
