Truecare Tour & Travels

We have been running things from the Bhat Complex for a while now. Our office is up on the third floor in room sixteen, right there in the Gousia Market area of Khanyar. It is a bit of a walk up the stairs, but we like the view of the street from up here. Link Road gets pretty crowded during the day, so it can take a minute to find the entrance to the building if you are new to the neighborhood. We started Truecare Tour & Travels because we know the roads around Srinagar and the valleys quite well. Our office is not a big corporate space. It is just a few desks and some extra chairs for people to sit while we look at travel dates and prices. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with local drivers and guesthouse owners to see who has space. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait a bit to confirm a booking, but that is just how things go. People from the market often drop in to ask about taxi rates or how much a trip to the mountains costs these days. We just tell them what the current situation is. It is a small team here, mostly just us and a few regular drivers we have known for years. We do not have glossy brochures, just our notes and ledgers.
