Travel N Shop

Our spot, Travel N Shop, is over at 3 Khidmat Complex on Regal Lane. We are right on Residency Road, and if you know where the old Regal Cinema used to be, we are just behind it. It’s a handy location because it’s so central. The office is small and a bit crowded with papers and maps, but we know where everything is. We chose the name because it sounded okay, though we mostly focus on the travel part of things. Living and working in Srinagar, you get to know the city inside out. We spend most of our time answering the phone and trying to coordinate with hotels and car owners. It’s not always easy, and sometimes there are mix-ups, but we fix them. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of staff. It’s just a few of us in this small room in the Khidmat Complex. We like being near the old cinema area; it has some history to it. People drop by often because they are already in the area for shopping. We don't have a big sales pitch. We just tell people where they can go and what it will cost. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We have been here for a long time and don't plan on moving. It’s a solid little spot for a travel office.
