This is The Great Himalayan Tours & Travels. You can find us over at Dalgate in Srinagar, specifically at Gate No 1 near Hotel Akbar. Being near the lake means there is always something going on outside. We spend our time setting up tours and getting travel details fixed for people coming through. It is a simple setup we have here. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure the cars are ready and the plans are set. Dalgate is a crowded place, so there is always a bit of noise from the street. We usually start early in the morning. People come in asking about different spots to visit or how to get around the valley. We tell them what we know and try to arrange things as simply as possible. We don't use any complicated systems, just regular booking methods that have worked for us. Sometimes the internet is slow or things get delayed, but we just deal with it. It’s a local operation and we know the area well since we are right here by Hotel Akbar. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go over the years. We just stay focused on the tasks at hand, like writing out itineraries or checking on transport. It is just a normal day-to-day business for us here in 190001.
