Our office is down on the ground floor of the I Q Shopping Mall which sits right on the International Airport Road. Being in Hyderpora means we see a lot of the airport traffic going back and forth all day. We are pretty easy to find since we are right opposite the petrol pump which is a good landmark for people who aren't from this part of Srinagar. The mall gets quite lively in the afternoons and we often hear the sound of people shopping while we sit at our desks. It is a practical space for us because it is easy for drivers to pull up and for us to run out and meet people if we need to. Most of our day is spent looking at screens and talking to people about where they want to go for their holidays. We don't have a big corporate setup, just a few desks and some chairs for anyone who drops in. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow and we have to wait for pages to load but that’s just how it goes here. We try to stay organized with our folders and schedules because things can get messy when it's busy. It feels like a small community inside the mall and we know the security guards and the other folks working in the nearby shops. It’s just us here trying to get things done every day and making sure the holiday plans for people coming to Kashmir actually happen.
