Sales Executive

Working out of K.K. Soktha in Nawakadal, things stay pretty busy for us. Srinagar is a city where you have to know your way around the narrow streets, and Nawakadal is no different. We handle a lot of different sales tasks from this small office in Kashmir. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and a look at what needs to be delivered or sold that day. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a practical space where we keep our records and talk to customers. The area around here is full of history and the sounds of the neighborhood. You can hear people talking outside and the general hum of the market nearby. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking to meet people around the city. Sales can be tough some weeks when the weather doesn't cooperate or the roads are blocked, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We just try to be honest about what we have and what we can do for the folks who buy from us. It’s just a regular way to earn a living in this part of India. We don't use any big words or flashy pitches, we just tell people the price and see if they need it. If you ever find yourself near Nawakadal, you might see us out and about doing our rounds.
