We are located over at D-1 Dar Building on Boulevard Road. It's right near the Sicop building, which most people know if they live around here. Being in Srinagar, we see a lot of people passing through wanting to see the valley. We started this because we knew the roads and the hotels well enough to help out. It's a small office, nothing too fancy, just some desks and maps on the wall. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to coordinate with drivers and making sure the hotels have the bookings right. Sometimes things go wrong, like a road closing because of a landslide, and then we have to scramble to fix the plan. That’s just how it goes in the mountains. We don't promise anything crazy, we just try to get the bookings done so people can have their holiday. My brother and I run the place most days. We grew up around here so we have friends in almost every village who help us out when our guests are traveling through. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes it gets stressful during the peak season when everyone wants a car at the same time. We don't use big words or fancy brochures much. Most of our work comes from people who stayed with us before and told their cousins. We just stay here in the building and keep the doors open for whoever walks in.
