Pearl Tour & Travels

We are located on the second floor of the Mir Complex right in the middle of Lal Chowk here in Srinagar. It’s a busy spot and sometimes the noise from the street below makes it through the windows but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. My desk faces the window and I spend a lot of time looking at the people walking by while I handle the paperwork for different trips. It isn't a fancy office but it works for us and we keep things simple. Usually, the morning starts with a cup of tea and then we get to checking the itineraries and seeing what needs fixing for the day ahead. People stop by to ask about bus schedules or how to get to certain places and we just try to give them the right information without making it too complicated. Srinagar changes a lot with the seasons and that affects how we work too. During the busy months, the phone doesn't stop ringing and the room gets quite warm with everyone moving around. When winter comes, we huddle around the heater and talk about the next summer season. We’ve been at this address for a while now and most of the shopkeepers nearby know us. It’s just a regular local business trying to make sure travelers have their plans sorted out properly. There’s always something to do, whether it’s confirming a car or just making sure the dates on a booking are right.
