Monson Tour & Travels

Monson Tour & Travels is tucked away in Khona Khand on New Shorch Road. It’s a local neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for quite some time. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with some desks and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. We spend our days figuring out how to get people from one place to another without too much trouble. Srinagar can be a bit confusing if you aren't from here, so we spend a lot of time explaining the layout of the streets and the best times to travel. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in town. We just want to do a decent job so we can keep the lights on and help out the people who come to us. Some days are quiet, and we just sit and talk about the old days in the city. Other days, everyone wants to go to the same place at once, and it gets a bit hectic. We handle it as it comes. We don't use a lot of big words or make promises we can't keep. If the road is closed, we tell you it's closed. That’s just how we do things here on New Shorch Road. It's a real business run by real people who grew up in these alleys. We know the local shopkeepers and the guys who run the taxis nearby, which helps us stay connected to what's happening.
