You’ll find Merlin Tour And Travels right by the water at Abikralpora on Dal Lake. We’re on Boulevard Road, specifically opposite Ghat Number 9. It’s a beautiful spot, especially when the sun is setting over the lake. Our office is on a houseboat, the New Merlin, which makes it a bit different from a regular shop on a street. We aren't some big travel company with offices all over the country. We’re just here on the lake. We help people with shikara rides, houseboats, and trips into the mountains. Living on the water means we see the tourists come and go every day. We don't use a lot of fancy marketing talk. We just tell you what the lake is like and how to get around. We know the other boatmen and the local drivers because they're our friends and neighbors. We try to be helpful and honest about prices and what to expect. It isn't a perfect system, and sometimes things are a bit slow, but that's life on the Dal. We don't have any big corporate structure. It’s just us on the boat, taking care of bookings and making sure people have a place to stay. If you’re near Ghat 9, you can just stop by and say hello. Being at Golden Dal Lake is part of who we are. The boat life is different from living on land, and it gives us a unique way to work.
