Our branch is situated right on Court Road in Sopore, sitting just across from the main post office. If you are looking for us, we are right there with New Diomond Tailors, which is a good landmark if you get lost in the middle of town. Sopore is a lively place, especially during the day when everyone is out doing their shopping or heading to court. Inside our office, it’s mostly the sound of counting machines and people talking about their accounts or loans. We’ve got a small team here and most of us have lived in the J&K state our whole lives. We know the faces of the people who come in every week. It gets pretty crowded on Mondays, and sometimes the line goes out the door, but we try to move as fast as we can. The building itself is older, but it stays cool in the summer. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just some chairs and the counters where we work. Usually, we are just busy keeping the books straight and making sure the cash is right at the end of the shift. It’s a standard bank job, really. We see a lot of local business owners and farmers from around the area coming through. It feels like a big part of the daily rhythm here in Sopore near the post office.
