Indusind

This place is located in Syed Mohallah, right near the Ahil Hadis Masjid in Srinagar. It is actually connected to the family, with Rafiq Ahmad, the son of Gh. Rasool, and Baahir Ahmad Ganie being the ones who handle things here. We just call the business Indusind. Kashmir is a beautiful place but it has its challenges, and being tucked away in this neighborhood means we see our neighbors every single day. We are not some big corporation with a fancy lobby. It’s more of a home-style office setup. You have to walk through the narrow lanes to get to us, which can be a bit confusing for someone who isn't local. The mosque is a good landmark though, and everyone knows where that is. We spend most of our time just managing the day to day tasks. It’s quiet inside usually, except for when the kids are playing in the street outside. We have a couple of rooms that we use for the work. There is no big mission statement hanging on the wall or anything like that. We just come in, sit at our desks, and do what needs to be done. It’s an honest way to spend the day. Sometimes we share tea with the people who drop by. It’s just how we do things in this part of Srinagar.
