Hotel Grand Mumtaz (5 Star Hotel)

Our hotel is located in the Khanyar area of Srinagar, specifically at Badu-Bagh. It’s a well-known spot in Jammu and Kashmir. Even though people call it a five-star place, we try to keep things feeling real and welcoming. Khanyar is an old part of the city with a lot of history in the streets. We have many rooms and a lot of staff to keep everything running. The building itself is quite large. We spend our days making sure the heaters are working in winter and the rooms are ready for whoever arrives. It’s not just a fancy building; it’s where we work every single day. We see people from all over the world come through our lobby. The gardens around Badu-Bagh are nice when the flowers are in bloom during the spring. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make sure there’s food in the kitchen and the beds are made. Some of the staff have been here for decades. They know every corner of the property. It’s a lot of work to keep a big place like this going. We don’t really focus on being "grand" in a snobby way. We just want to be a good place for people to stay while they are visiting Srinagar. It is a lot of management.
