Holiday Panache

Our office is over in Kak Sarai. It’s near the Ladakh Sarai, which is a landmark most people in Srinagar know. Holiday Panache is just the name we put on the door. Inside, it is a pretty standard setup with a couple of computers and a lot of notebooks. We aren't a big agency with a fancy headquarters. We are just local people working in the 190001 area. We help people plan their holidays without making it complicated. Some days the power goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just part of life here. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just tell people what is available and what isn't. It’s a very grounded way of doing things. Being near Kak Sarai means we get a lot of travelers coming through. We answer a lot of questions about the best way to get to different places. It’s not a glamorous job, but we enjoy the rhythm of it. We keep things informal. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-conversation or checking some dates on a calendar. We don't spend money on big ads. We just rely on being here and doing the work. It’s a small operation. We focus on getting the details right for anyone who walks through the door. No corporate fluff, just us at our desks in the Sarai area. We drink a lot of tea and just keep going.
