Himalayan Glacier Tour & Travels

Our office is right on the ground floor of Hotel Pride Continental. Being on Boulevard Road means we see a lot of the lake and the tourists walking by every day. Himalayan Glacier Tour & Travels started because we wanted to work for ourselves in our own city. It’s not a huge operation. Most of the time, it’s just a couple of us sitting here handling phone calls and writing down bookings in our ledgers. We don’t use much fancy software. We prefer talking to people face-to-face when they come into the hotel. Srinagar is a beautiful place, but it has its challenges, and we help people navigate those. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we know which drivers are reliable and which routes are best when it’s busy. The office gets a bit of a breeze from the water, which is nice in the summer. We don't spend money on big ads or glossy brochures. We just do the work and hope people tell their friends. It’s a simple way to run a business. If you’re staying at the Pride or just walking along the Boulevard, you can see us through the window. We’re usually busy with paperwork or chatting with the drivers who stop by for tea. It’s a practical setup, nothing more than what is needed to get the job done right. We just take it day by day and try to keep things simple for everyone.
