Apprentice Engineer

I’m working as an Apprentice Engineer out of S. Labh Villa, which is right across from the Regional Research Laboratory in Sanat Nagar. It’s a quiet enough spot in Srinagar, and being near the lab actually makes it pretty easy for people to find me. I’m still learning the ropes in many ways, but I spend most of my time looking at drawings and trying to figure out how things fit together. It’s not a big firm or anything, just me working out of this space at 190005. I’ve always liked how things are built, so this felt like the right path to take for a career. My desk is usually covered in notes, old coffee mugs, and bits of paper. Some days I’m out in the field at different sites, and other days I’m just here at the villa trying to solve a problem on paper. The neighbors are nice, and it’s a good area to be based in. People stop by sometimes to ask about local projects or just to say hello. I don't have any big slogans or anything like that. I just want to do a good job and not mess up the calculations I'm doing. It’s a long road to becoming a full engineer, but being here in Sanat Nagar gives me a good start. I keep my books close and my tools even closer. It’s just simple, honest work trying to build a career one day at a time without too much fuss.
